Guidelines for applying for a grant from the Simons Foundation Fund

Report of visit and financial justification

You are requested to submit, after the journey as one single pdf file:

  1. A detailed report from which we can gather that the trip has been useful for your career (see guidelines).
    Awarded grants will only be paid out following the receipt and approval of this report. In case the board rejects your report you have to send a more detailed one within the period before the next meeting of the Board of the Simons Foundation Fund. Payment will be delayed until the report has been approved by the Board.
  2. Your statement of expenses (including invoices, receipts etc. which are mentioned on the statement).
    Please note that the statement of expenses and the invoices and receipts are mandatory. The report will not be discussed during the next board meeting in case these or one of these are missing.
Grant applications for conference visits must be accompanied by proof of active attendance (i.e. oral presentation or poster presentation) or a scanned copy of your abstract published in the abstract book including a copy of the cover page.
